I realize it’s been awhile. Truth told, I’ve been a bit distracted with closing the book on my teaching career, so that I can open a new chapter in my writing career. (See what I did there? Apologies to the anti-pun folks.)
Oh, and a few other things:
Finished and launched Ghost Candidate
Ghost Thompson is an athlete with a secret. One he’s managed to keep since he was fifteen. But in his senior year of high school, things are changing. A new girl and new friends are forcing him to confront his abilities and responsibilities. When an evil entity begins pursuing a terrifying agenda that promises destruction on a national scale, he, Lila and Juju must band together to stop it. Will they find a way to defeat the forces that seek to corrupt them, or will they be enslaved forever? This paranormal YA adventure walks the razor’s edge between self-preservation and the consequences of choosing honor above all else.
Participated in several author/reader events:
And in general kept up a functioning private life.
It’s been real, and it’s been fun, especially playing volley ball at SCBL, meeting readers at all three events and just in general getting to know some great people. The adult beverages weren’t bad either.
I just started the first in my Earth Prime (working title) series and am toying with some fun ideas for reader input, so stay tuned for that. I will also be giving a seminar on conflict with several members of the Alvarium Experiment at the next FWA Focus Day in Fort Myers. (July 23, 2017 at the Crown Plaza. Come see me!!)
All in all, it’s been an exciting, challenging, fun first six months of 2017. Can’t wait to see what the second half holds.
